- Form 15 and 12 Certifications
As a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ – Structural), we provide independent RPEQ sign-off and certification services for structural, seismic, and waterproofing works across residential, commercial, and remedial projects.
All designs will be reviewed to ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards, including AS 3600 (Concrete), AS 4100 (Steel), AS 1170, and AS 1720 (Timber).
- Structural Engineering
Our structural engineering services include the analysis and design of low-rise structures across a range of materials, including concrete, steel, timber, aluminium, and masonry. We provide Form 15 and Form 12 for design and inspection of structures. We offer our services in the areas of:

- Seismic Design
Seismic design is crucial to ensuring that buildings can withstand the lateral forces generated by earthquakes. Our focus on the seismic designs related to lateral restraints of mechanical services that include ducts, cable trays, etc. Poor structural resistance can lead to significant damage, loss of life, and major economic disruption. At SD Consulting Engineers, our goal is to reduce these risks by developing seismic designs that improve a building’s ability to resist shaking and lateral loads during an earthquake. Our engineering approach enhances structural stability and supports long-term safety.
- Waterproofing Investigations and Reports
We carry out investigations to identiy the cause of the water leaks, provide engineering report and advise on the remediation strategies. Leaks are generally observed in:
- Podiums leaking into basement carparks
- Windows and doors leaking into unit inside
- Roofs leaking into unit below
- Planters damaging waterproofing membrane.
Our clients include individual house owners, Body Corporates, Strata Managers and Builders. As part of waterproofing works, we also can provide reports on crack repairs, concrete spalling, facade repairs, etc
Please note we are not tradies, so we cannot fix your leaks. But we can tell how that leak has occurred and how to fix it according to the National Construction Code and Australian Standards so that the leak do not happen again. Tradies are generally not interested to find out the cause, and the leaks would occur again after they have completed the works. So, it is crucial to determine the cause of the leak identified by an expert
